In the Bay off Bucerias, one can still fish for sailfish, marlin, snook and other species of great value. There is also a popular snorkeling area, comprising about 10 kilometers of sandy beach with better visibility than Puerto Vallarta and at certain times during the day, may be ideal for some water sports. The local celebrations are in January, which celebrates the Virgin of Peace by making pilgrimages along the beach with fabulously decorated boats, fireworks, dancing and all sorts of attractions.
